Kunst in Stad, Sint Niklaas
o Arte en la Ciudad, es una asociación fundada por Matthys Contras, Concejal de Cultura de la ciudad de Sint-Niklaas, Bélgica. Este proyecto se inició tras muchas conversaciones de antemano con los representantes de diversas instituciones. Poco a poco, el entusiasmo creciente por esta asociación sin ánimo de lucro, concluyó en su creación el 7 de febrero de 1973. Pero fue a partir de 1979 cuando toma fuerza a manos de Rik Bosteels. Con altibajos y mucho empeño a lo largo de los años, Kunst in de Stad o Arte en la Ciudad, se inició sin recursos generando una actividad de admiración inquietante, con el fin de crear una ciudad con espacios públicos (museos, iglesias, servicios sociales y hospitales) más ricos y de atractivo artístico y humano a través de las obras de artes para el disfrute y cultura de todos sus ciudadanos.

or Art in the City, is an association founded by Matthys Contras, Councillor for Culture of the city Sint-Niklaas in Belgium. This project began after many conversations, in advance, with representatives of various institutions. Gradually, the growing enthusiasm for this non-profit association concluded in its creation on February 7th in1973. In the period of Rik Bosteels got his best moments. With ups and downs over the years, Kunst in de Stad or Art in the City, without resources and hard work, built an activity to create a city with public spaces (museums, churches, social services and hospitals) more attractive and artistic through the works of arts and a culture for the enjoyment of all its citizens.
