I have always been surrounded by brushes, crayons and art books constantly reviewed, as if they were comics. With family tradition in the field of painting, the well known Canarian painter Pedro de Guezala was the uncle of my maternal grandmother. My mother also studied Fine Arts, and she has also been a source of inspiration for me. In 1991, I accessed to the Fine Art Faculty in La Laguna, in the discipline of painting. In the third year, as an Erasmus Scholarship, I went to Belgium, and then followed for another 4 years with the  etching studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Since then, I abandoned my aspirations to be a teacher and I developed my artist career.

Until today, although I combine the etching, painting and illustration, I have to confess that my passion is the engraving but this variety of disciplines enriches me and allows me to be in contact with musicians, writers, poets and publishers.

I have also had the opportunity to travel around the world, which has enriched my multicultural vision of art and life. Contact with nature and different cultures have always served as a source of inspiration for my work.
